wbmw, That's some performance increase! I think the only thing that is needed to pretty much wipe out most of the need for > 1 socket is wide availability of 4 GB DDR3 DIMMs. 1 Nehalem plus 24 GB of memory more than satisfies probably 80% to 90% server market demand... More so with the next gen of Nehalem, which (I am guessing) will have 8 cores and a bit more L3). Joe
