Assuming this person helped Chicago education-----what this says to me is that all education is local.

The federal government should not be in the education business.

Sure they can do platitudes such as we need more math and science teachers-----or make schools safer---or more football and basket ball teams------more doctors----these are just that platitudes.

What Chicago does in education will not neccessarily work in Virginia, Texas, Maine, New York nor in Washington, D.C.

Looks like Obama is keeping the Harvard connections going.

How many Harvard people will Obama appoint?

Will this education secretary send their children to the public schools unlike the Obama's who are afraid of the Washington, D.C. public schools?
