Neo, the only regulation needed was anti-theft, anti-fraud which isn't regulation, it's anti-crime and there are heaps of laws to cover that already. The financial collapse came about because of government regulation and laws and actions in mismanaging fiat currency combined with maniacal lenders and borrowers who made self-destructive decisions of irrational exuberance. Fannie, Freddie were government departments in effect. They were ringleaders. Socialists have leaped to all sorts of wrong conclusions. They are chanting the mindless mantra that capitalism has failed when in fact it hasn't in the slightest. Mqurice
