exactly how did Cox bring down Madoff? It's a fairly simple point, Cox failed in his oversight in which he was responsible for, as did Barney Frank and Chris Dodd in their oversight failures of their respective committees. I don't think Cox took any campaign contributions from Madoff, yet Dodd was the leading recipient of Fannie Mae contributions, the company he failed to provide oversight for. As with a lot of democrats, money talks.
