I passed on several issues with my Doctor because I was after help from him, not discussion as to why he didn't do/did do certain things. Now that the immediate pressure is behind me, I think I will ask him about a few of them.

First off, since I had no heart symptoms, why did he order a Thallium stress test? Was it Kaiser protocol with all heart patients? If so, it done for legal reasons.

Secondly, why didn't he bring up the use of Fish Oil and not dicuss Niacin with me? When he found out I was using Niacin, he started to try to talk me out of it, then backed off.

His attitude seemed to be, "take 20 mgs of Simvastatin daily and call me if you have any problems."

I will be polite about it, but I am curious.
