Bush was hated 1) because he quasi stole office and
He won the election, fool. This is precisely what I'm talking about. You are still walking around pitching this absolute lie around, 8 years later.
Bush won. Twice. Get over it. You people are just pathetic.
2) for his actions post 911. We "liberals" are not alone in disliking bush...he has earned the animosity from a large majority of the country and the world. So get over it...his presidency is over and hopefully a mess in the rear view mirror.
His actions post 911 have protected us from further attack, something that the vast, vast majority of people believed we would face shortly after 911. Many of the terrorist attacks Bush has prevented are well-documented.
What you or the American people think about Bush today doesn't matter. Don't you realize this? You cannot know enough today to make a reasonable decision about Bush's presidency! Hell, look at the recent swing in popular opinion about Truman in the last few years.
Bush's legacy is Iraq. We won't know for years how it turns out over there. If Iraq, as I think it will, becomes a democracy, an ally, a trading partner, and a force for reasonable behavior in the region, Bush will be lauded as a president who had the courage of his convictions in the face of immeasureable criticism.
You cannot see how important the Iraq War is because you're too stuck in your liberal views. But you should understand, liberals don't know shit about this subject. Leave it to people who know what they're doing. Bush will, I believe, prove to have been a genius in his decision WRT Iraq. |
