I wish they'd put a $3 floor on gasoline prices. That would solve the problem for everyone.

Gee whiz!! Any other "floors" you want to implement?

Why not floors on food commodities, as they do with milk? Eggs? Pork Bellies? All to keep people from getting fat...

Why not floors on wood products in order to save our forests?

Floors on health care so people won't get sick?

The reality is that oil prices were trading at $10/barrel at their lows in the late '90's any the soared up to $147/bbl less than 6 months ago... They have since collapsed and oil is being stored in VLCC tankers waiting for higher prices (taken off the market). Yet, oil prices are still falling, despite this attempt to hoard oil.

So what makes you think your $3/gallon floor would do anything to spur economic growth or help the average consumer? All you want to do is give money (like smokers do on every pack of cigarettes) to the government for them to decide how to spend it.
