There's that "flush your standards" right wing logic. If the enemy does it, it's ok for us to do it - we get a pass.
But, that's wrong. It's then when your beliefs and standards are TESTED against your fears. When you show your values are stronger and superior to those of your enemy.
America had always done a fair job of meeting the test, until Bush. Like virginity, once it's gone, there's no getting it back.
