Brian, the prices are getting to attractive levels, however, I am not convinced that 1998 is going to be booming as the stock prices had reflected. My opinion is that we will see slow or flat growth. I think this is a good place to start a small position in semi's, just incase things run up again.

LRCX sounded bullish, but they did not quantify their bullishness, nor did the bullishness show up in their numbers or in next quarters guidance. And they provided no guidance for calander 1998.

It's one thing to come out and say that things look great and we will have a 30% sequential increase in revs next quarter, vs things look great and we expect a flat quarter next quarter.

If DRAM spending is still strong and processor market is also strong...how come their bookings and revs are pretty much flat....are we to assume that the problem is company specific?? It's unfortunate that no one asked 1998 questions, wether they were comfortable with the estimates.
