I Have the same problem.....too many gun shots...high levels are gone.....

but if conversation is clear and well spoken I hear every word clearly......

my kid talks clearly but thinks that blurting out a statement from 3 rooms down the hall is the same as being face to face....and of course there is never a warning that the sentence is coming....so I miss the 1st 3 words entirely

when she bitches about my hearing I tell her to get me aides for my birthday, Christmas....etc.....tell her they only cost a few thousand $$$.....she shuts up.

The car is the worst place for high freq hearing loss as the road noise really compromises voice clarity.

My hearing hasn't gotten any worse in 20 years so I can't justify wearing aides.....hell I'm just getting used to reading glasses.....which I need to see the sights clearly on my handguns.....getting old sucks a bit.
