his point about the 30 year borrowing binge that created 'growth' is now completely dead in the water means we get a serious and prolonged economic contraction as the indebted slave away to pay it down, and those who managed to avoid the debt will be saving furiously to make up for losses in RE value, retirement accounts, generally every asset class....this graph created by CR pretty much tells the story:
