The BW article of 9-9-96 issue re: "doubling the data on any size flash chip" sounds like it's a manufacturing technology which influences density or some other measurable parameter. Anything that brings down the cost of flash memory helps Norris. Intel has achieved major breakthroughs in layering and spacing parameters of their CPU's. They've got the resources to continue to do this with all types of product manufacturing. Toshiba has licensed much of their research to Samsung, which I believe will become their biggest competitor. Large scale wholesale purchasing of Nor Or Nan flash has pricing between $15-19/mb.. None of the biggies want to ruin a market, and I believe there will certainly be a decline in prices. How soon or how far will also be influenced by what Thin Spin does in the 40+mb market where their cost per mb. is much, much, lower than equivalent flash. I refer you to the Norris web site (norriscomm.com) and review of their press release under Thin Spin

Norris now has to deliver, produce, and expand the market for their technology. Some work I'm doing in the Health Care $1.3 trillion/year Market could get major 3rd part payers and pharmaceutical co's. to put mobile voice into the hands of those struggling with a variety of chronic diseases and wellness issues such as weight control and exercise. There are going to be so many uses for voice and video on removable flash that haven't even been thought of yet. When Bob Root said Norris was in a field with a tremendous future, I believe he saw it even bigger than the BW article, which I think is a very conservative projection.

Let's all share the ever-expanding knowledge base this industry provides.

Best to all:
