California's economy constitutes 13% of Gross Domestic Product and pays welfare to the red states that hate taxes, contributing much more to the Feds than they receive. Perhaps the first tax revolt would be to let the red states (ex Florida and Texas, which are pretty strong) try to make it on their own and taking back some of what they pay into Federal coffers for these slackers.

No matter what the fiscal policies of the state, you have an economy that really works.
