No one wanted to stop that bubble,” Mr. Lindsay said. “It would have conflicted with the president’s own policies.”

I doubt anybody can walk past the carcass of Shrub without administering a resounding kick in the rear. I'm certainly no exception but I think its quite a stretch to lay this at his feet. You don't think the NY Times has an agenda, do you?

First on my list would be that sack of shine Allan "Bubble?-What-Bubble?" Greenslime. I still roar with laughter when he pleads "Nobody could have seen this coming." He's followed closely by Freddie-Fannie-Franklin and all those on the payroll.

Yeah, we're talking the basic Democratic Demolition Derby Gang: Dirtbag Frank, Scumbag Dodd, can't be forgittin' Maxine "Dey-Be-A-Lynchin'-Franklin" Waters and "If-You-Don't-Like-Fannie-You-Must-Be-A-Racist" Weeks.

Toss in the ratings agencies, mortgage brokers, Wall Street (wait, credit where credit is due, if you'll pardon the play on words, move them after F-F-F), dishonest and greedy mortgage/HELOC borrowers.

Finally we get to Shrub, in 22,443,117th place.

Whack! Bonk! Still entitles him to a well-deserved kick in the butt. Discredit where discredit is due.
