It is obvious you have never heard of the NEA,[National Education Association

First, of all, that $307M budget is financed through the dues that its teacher/members pay into the union.

Second of all, $307M is paltry even if it were gov't financed.

I know it is fashionable to find extreme cases of poor teachers being sheltered by it with which to bash the NEA, but it also protects good teachers (the VAST majority) from petty politics.
