Yes, Amati only has DMT. Would you develop a car with a one-speed transmission limited to near-perfect driving conditions if you already had one with two speeds capable of mitigating adverse conditions? WSTL does not own either technology but is a systems provider. In the case of ADSL/DMT, they're working with Motorola and wherever you see Motorola and DMT linked, Amati is there earning royalties. Besides Amati's patents, they're developing VDSL as an important part of their product mix. (See NEC/AMTX press release of June 25, 1996.)
Regards, Pat
