All: Regarding Bemer ...

Now that there is additional information available (as of 10/22), I understand more of what the Bemer solution is doing on a technical level. I will post more later today about what it does, how it does it, the strengths and weaknesses.

The abbreviated version ... note that this is specific to IBM's MVS operating system ... the 'intercept' technology that I think is being used has been around for ages, and works well in most cases. However, it takes a long time to get the various environments supported (CICS, IMS, DB2, etc.). Unless Mr. Bemer started with a pre-existing and functioning interceptor, he has a lot of work to do.

The new 'Bigits' (and 19T0 format) are the new wrinkles.
