Its not the road trips that are hurting us. Its the mass commuting by car every day. That's what I would like to see reduced.

I agree that mass transit has to be addressed, but I think the low hanging fruit is MPG efficiency. The fleet mostly gets replaced every 8 years (or something) anyway.


No matter how you cut it, we need to raise more money for mass transit. City after city wants to increase its mass transit. I think putting a tax on gas is the best way to go but there may be a better approach.
