Puny was from Michael Crichton, he loved to use that term in the context of how humans are "arrogant" to think they can change the climate. Denialists such as yourself love quoting his nonsense. My bad if this particular denialist fav is not one of your short comings.

planting and irrigating trees over light coloured deserts

The planet has a fresh water shortage as it is, just for Ag and lawns. You will not find sufficient to water the deserts to any large extent. If you go to great lengths to do so, it would be far cheaper to cool the planet by modifying our CO2 production. No point in picking the most expensive and inefficient means to achieve a goal.

Careful eyeballing of the CO2 graph over 1000 years does show a trend which matches the human population.

Its bloody obvious even to an idiot.

But let's wait and see what happens to 6 billion humans before we panic.

You want to wait and see the outcome before doing anything?? And with a system having an enormous amount of inertia? LOL!

I have more immediate problems of far greater consequence. I'm happy to give the CO2 problem ALL my attention next century.

An excellent summery of your views, Louis the 14th.
