It will be interesting to see what Seattle and neighborhoods store figures look like after the Holidays and after this week of freezing (or below) temp, then snow, sleet, ice, and more snow.....Our area dodged the high winds predicted though...but have more than 12 inches of snow in the yard....with the middle layer about 1/2 inch of ice....

The weather took down our internet for the day until a couple of hours ago.... But even if people waited till the last minute to gather gifts, and bought online, the trucks can't yet deliver in most neighborhoods here in Seattle and the surburban cities around.....

We're hopeful of getting out tomorrow, and getting to the airport to pick up a son, if he can get out of ID, and into SeaTac, that is....and if we aren't stuck in the middle of the ice/snow mix everywhere.

It is so beautiful if you don't have to drive anyplace in it..... seattletimes.nwsource.com
