Re: What on earth are you talking about now? ARM processors exist. They also run Linux, have for more than a decade. Heck, I have run Linux on my PDA for years now.

What on Earth am I talking about? How about the topic of ARM competing with Intel in Netbooks, which was the discussion we've had for the last dozen posts or so? Your response on PDAs and God knows what else doesn't seem to apply. When I asked you about comparable devices to Atom based Netbooks, all you did was name off a bunch of devices that weren't available yet.

So, if that's the case, then all the amazing advantages of ARM that you've been debating about must be based off of either existing ARM designs in the embedded or cell phone kinds of devices, or an expectation that something great will happen in a future Netbook device that isn't available yet. All I expect from you is that you be specific about what you're throwing out as data, and what is essentially an expectation on a future device, so that I can judge how reliable the comparison is.

Re: Sorry about terming your position as a religious one.

Apology accepted.

Re: But, it isn't one based on facts, just your strong belief that the Atom cannot be touched.

Listen, CJ....

It's a lot different to say that Atom "cannot be touched", than to do what I did, which was to ask for data to back up your assumptions of ARM's chances of winning in the Netbook market. If that distinction isn't making sense to you, then perhaps we should just agree to disagree.
