That's the wrong question, because it ignores the purpose of DCAing, which is to average one's cost basis over time.

If you received the money on a monthly basis and invested it as soon as you got it, wouldn't your average cost of shares over the course of a year be the same as if you had a lump sum available at the beginning of the year, and invested 1/12th of it each month?

Be honest. Everyone is watching.
