The table below shows the ranked performance (12/31/07 thru 12/19/08) of the stocks picked by Charity contestants and the number of contestants picking each stock. In the case of buyouts, I used the buyout share price (cash and/or stock) with no consideration of reinvestment gains or losses.
I'm sure I've made some errors, so please post if you see any numbers that seem wrong.
As indicated, IOMI was the top performer by a wide margin. It was only held in GENE's portfolio and he deserves kudos for picking it. Unfortunately, most of his other stocks did poorly, especially GNVC and NRGX.OB. They were each 20% of his portfolio and a good chunk of the IOMI buyout proceeds were reinvested in them, with the GNVC and NRGX.OB losses alone wiping out almost 70% of the IOMI gain.
