Here's another slant to the SEC to add to your own Jim ...

Below are several articles recently brought to my attention by SI members regarding the role that the SEC has, or hasn't, played during and before the course of the recent financial debacles.

If only a small percentage of it is true then, IMO, it would be a severe indictment on the Regulatory Role that should be played by the SEC.

In addition, the more that can be revealed to as many Investors as possible, the greater will be the chance that future Effective Oversight will be implemented to the ultimate benefit of those self-same Investors.

At the end of the day it's Effective Action by the Houses of Congress and the Senate that will benefit the Constituents. And therefore it's in the interests of those Constituents to ensure they vote in members of integrity who will act for their benefit.
