On top of that the theory that government can spend our way out of an economic malaise has been disproven. Trickle Down Economics works. If people are making money they spend money. That fixes the problems.

Any government spending to stimulate the economy has about the same effect as burning hundreds. Spending it on military programs might be about as ineffective as any other place to waste it.
