Broadcast coverage changes with the upcoming transition from analog to HDTV: fcc.gov The cable and satellite companies don't publicize it, naturally, but most markets will be able to receive quite a few local stations quite clearly with antenna. Depending on one's location the reception could be much better or nonexistent.
