Alert: Girl traumatized by outside world United Press International - October 23, 1997 12:14 %STATE %TX %GIRL V%UPI P%UPI AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 23 (UPI) - State Child Protectice Services officials in Austin continue to investigate (Thursday) what they are calling one of the most unusual cases in the agency's history. Caseworkers say a 9-year-old girl taken from a squalid, rat-infested home was somewhat traumatized just by being outside, apparently for the first time in her life.
