If I'm responsible and drive a Honda Civic why should I pay the same gas tax as someone driving an Escalade? I'm not talking about a 1 or 2k 'gas guzzler' tax, how about slapping a 15k surcharge on large SUV's? That will prevent many fuel guzzlers from getting on the road at all, so you have the fuel benefit without hitting those driving fuel efficient vehicles. Regards, John
