"As of today, they are truly the only ally we have in the Middle East" What good are they as an "ally"? They can't help us fight anywhere - we have to beg them NOT to get involved, as in the Gulf War. They cost us a fortune. Our unfair and irrational support of them has us looking bad to our REAL allies and causes the Arabs that own all the oil to hate us. They were supposedly beneficial when the Soviets were using the Arabs as proxies, but that time has long past. Now, what is our national benefit in supporting Israel? Not even all Jews support Israel.
