Bob, Al Gore is a nice PR guy, but he isn't a scientist. Having him "debate" is irrelevant. It should be scientists who debate each other. And, in fact, scientists debate each other all the time in conferences and in publications. People like Avery and Singer are cited all the time by people like yourself as though they represent some of sort of silent majority of working scientists in the field.

They don't. And the fact is, whether or not climate change is happening and why it is happening isn't a matter for politicians to debate. It is a matter for scientists to debate. It is a question of evidence, of interpretation of evidence, of theory. What is a matter for politicians to debate is what to do about it.
