Al, I think fusion is the ultimate solution to the problem of energy, but that article just sounds too stupid to take seriously.

I mean, there are just way too many catch phrases in that article. "Energy shortage", "potential for limitless energy", "E=mc2", etc. Whoa, that's like, heavy ... dude.

The laser fusion lab sounds promising, but that's no excuse to get ahead of reality. This is a lab for experiments which may or may not lead to anything practical, and likely not in the near future. I only wish so-called "science correspondents" in the media resist the urge to hype this stuff up.
