Madoff "Investors" May Have to Pay Back 6 Years of Withdrawals By now the multi-billion dollar Bernie Madoff Ponzi scheme fraud is old news but the potential damage to the victims of the scam is just starting to come to light. It seems that an obscure New York State Law could see some Madoff investors having to return all monies withdrawn from the fund during the past 6 years, including any withdrawal of their initial investment principle. I've heard this before. I don't get how that's fair.
