Actually, the Kurds have been kicked around for a long, long time. And Turkey won't take kindly to a Kurdish nation -- which the Kurds truly deserve. I think the best bet is to get comparable numbers of Kurds, Sunnis and Shites and let the one with the best ideas of the time prevail. If the oil money could nourish their communities, theoretically, they should do fine. The two nation concept -- one multi-ethnic, the other Shite -- is I think the only way any kind of a democracy could have a shot at working.
