When Hillary Clinton got a 7-figure book advance in 12/2000 from News Corp.'s publishing arm there was a lot of press coverage, because after she was sworn in, there would have been more required disclosure, and News Corp. regularly deals with the FCC and other departments and agencies, asking for rules changes, etc. I don't see how Palin could get any portion of the sales, without disclosing it, so I think she may get none. I don't know if she had an individual campaign committee. Tiger Woods ran into that kind of "use of image" IP situation where someone took a photograph at a Major and either sold framed photographs or paintings based on the photo. I don't remember how Tiger/IMG resolved that case.
