"The question is, how bad will it be, and who will do most of th"e suffering?"

I totally agree - only for the opposite reason. How bad will the economic disaster be and who will suffer most from it? Sadly the economic suffering will be done most by those whom I suspect you politically claim to care about the most.

For you to portray people like me as having my financial interests tied up in fossil fuels is a lot like me saying proponents have their interests tied up in grant money - and political speech money - and book money - and fame instead of obscurity. My financial interests are in markets that are moving.

My standard response is let's get on with nuclear power. But no - that is no good either. So - not sure if this one is you or not - but the biggest alarmists are equally against the only rational solution - please spare me wind and solar as a solution for a world with an emerging middle class.

So - in addition to money - there is some other anti development agenda. The mantra of NO is part of their DNA.

If it is happening it is going to happen. While I sincerely doubt there is much to worry about - I have no doubt that the billions could be better spent on things like health care and education than on a weak maybe.

You seem rational and tolerant of my sometimes strong statements. I only ask you to consider all of the aspects of what you think should be a major world concern.

Bob
