In the winter I look up at the tops of trees a lot trying to find raptors. You can always see abandoned nests that way.

When we drive up to the cabin, we pass an area with very large Cottonwood trees next to the river. There's an Eagle's nest in one of those trees. We're always looking for those Eagles. Last time we were up that way, we saw three Eagles perched on high limbs of the Cottonwood. I imagine it was the parents and a fledgling. We get a lot of Eagles who stay year round because of the temperate climate and all of the spawned out Salmon.

We recently saw a mating pair up by our cabin. We're hoping they stay yr round. Up till now we've only seen one, and he/she only stays for the winter.
