TJ. Hong Kong isn't a particularly popular destination for NZ emigrants. Even the Hong Kongese who have moved here prefer Oz to Hong Kong and choose to go there when they realize NZ lacks a certain charm they can get from the Ockers.

If Hong Kong is so great, here's a suggestion; Hong Kong take over China and change it so it's like Hong Kong. Or maybe get Taiwan to merge with Hong Kong, adopting Hong Kong's governance, move the capital of "Taiwong" to Hong Kong and then take over China, using Taiwong's governance to run the whole show.

There would be some cost savings as hordes of Beijing bosses and bureaucrats could get real jobs.

There you are, a free last minute 2008 proposal to enhance the ages. Now, I must away to prepare some New Year resolutions = there's only an hour to find out if 2009 is going to arrive.

It's looking questionable. The sun seems to be up to no good. The bottom pole has gone all dark today and the dark top pole has gone light. sohowww.nascom.nasa.gov Meanwhile sun-spots are as scarce as hen's teeth which means an ice age is imminent. Also there have been major flurries of earthquakes in the Yellowstone caldera. The financial relativity theory acceleration to warp speed with Big Ben pouring on the fuel might be a minor detail. 2009 should be a LOT of fun.

Now, I bid you farewell and perhaps will see you on the other side.

Gung Ho,
Mqurice
