Why would any Jew WANT to live in Israel? When they can pick any other country on Earth and live a safer and more prosperous life? I worked with a lady that emigrated to Israel as an idealistic teenager, lived on a kibbutz, left and is NEVER going back.

Because its the only Jewish state in the world? For many Jews who were persecuted in their home countries, its a great alternative. For American Jews, not so much.
