I don't know if this has been making the national headlines, but around here, the trial of former OC sheriff Mike Carona is fascinating. Sex, money, politics, even some religion mixed in. Like a suspense novel you can find at Barnes & Noble.

I think one of the prequisites for being corrupt is to be indulgently stupid. Your sheriff fits the bill nicely. And no, I hadn't heard about it at all. Corruption is way too common in this country for it to make the national news. It has to be really big....like Blago....for that to happen. |
