When listening to a lefty talk show on NPR this morning, I heard a young WSJ reporter remark that unlike the Israelis, the Gazans did not have bomb shelters to retreat to. Not a soul asked "why not?" After all, there are thousands of bunkers under Gaza - by now the Israelis refer to "Lower Gaza" - so why no shelters?

Of course to ask that question is to answer it, which is why it is never asked.
