Here are a couple of ideas... Israel gave back Gaza - completely - removed it's own people by force - that experiment went badly - no reason to leave the West Bank yet. recognizes that bombing on both sides merely perpetuates the radicalization of another generation. The Israelis aren't becoming more radical - they are simply realizing that nothing they give back will change the Hamas minds.
