I was wondering the same thing.....excite would perhaps provide some guide as to the time frame in a SEEK surge.....Excite first went to this "new", for SEEK Channal format on 4/30/97.

And it was the period of time from 7/1/97 to 9/30/97 that all the deals/partnerships started rolling in......so what's that about 2 months before partnering got under way?

Two things could happen......1) there's a big demand for getting on a Channel, in that case SEEK should start anouncing SOMETHING...

or 2)Advertisers's/Merchants are gonna take a wait and see what happens with the Excite partnerships.....as to whether partners are gonna make the $$ back...and are worth the fee that is being charged.

Odds are in favor of #1....because it's worked for AOL & XCIT....but I'm not betting.

Forget earnings...it's revenue growth..that counts...none of them have any revenues to speak of at this point. %+ is what's gonna count.

All IMO.
