There's no doubt that Ayn Rand was trying to tell us something about human behaviour, inter-relationships, the possibilities of alternative societies and, above all, the importance of Reason.
To quote her ...
"My philosophy, in essence, is the concept of man as a heroic being, with his own happiness as the moral purpose of his life, with productive achievement as his noblest activity, and reason as his only absolute."
I've only read one of her books, The Fountainhead, and found it a good insight into man's potential, creativity and independent spirit .... the 'Individual' against the 'Collective'. Not surprisingly she's an Aquarian, who often have an interest in human nature and behaviour.
