Yes, power is cyclical, but when the response to a downturn is to "cleanse" the party, that is a call for marginalization.

I see these as manifestations of the natural "noise" that follows a political defeat and a struggle for answers....in any case, my point was that if the Dems mess up as the Reps did, we'll see musical chairs again long before we see a third party emerge.
