If you are indeed a practicing attorney, my question should not have been threatening at all, and a substantive response should have been relatively easy to provide. Instead, what I received was Interestingly, my post got 13 recommendations and one "wtf?". Which suggests that the majority of people who read the board don't need an explanation. It could just as easily indicate that 13 people on SI who read your message don't like (or understand) Jay or his message, but they could be "idiots" themselves for all I know. When I first started reading Jay's messages, I wasn't inclined to pay much attention to them and rolled my eyes quite often in response; no longer is that the case, and I genuinely would love to hear an educated explanation of why he should be considered an idiot. Again, if your statement to him was merely personal, I'd drop it from here. However, if you don't like his point of view but can't explain why (beyond the fact that 13 others "agree" with you), I'd find that pretty fascinating, especially from a licensed and educated professional. jpg
