YES! I was listening to wealth managers trying to explain what happened in subprime and after 3 days I figured out that they know the wealth management model they were trained in at Goldman but they don't know how to invest money or tell you what happened to your money after you lost it. Even their models suck and the only consolation that you have is that ALL of their customers lost money when you lost money. There was one guy there that knew what was going on with investing, he said don't invest your money yourself because statistically you are going to lose it all and on the flip side, you are going to lose all of your money over time with investment managers also.
