Of course it is.

If Hamas attacks Israel and not one person dies, Israel has every right and responsibility to decimiate Hamas.
Okay, let us look at it from a different angle. The Israelis stole the land, drove the Palestinians out of their homes and killed en mass. The way it looks, and based on your logic, the Israelis should be lined up and shot like criminals.
