Hey KyrosL:

Happy New Year! Yes, very strong day for those of us who hold lower rated credit of all types. Muni's and emerging market debt very strong lately.

I keep thinking about selling with an eye to re-buying on a pullback. But I guess I'm gonna stand pat for now, til we see what happens when the real trading year starts on Monday.

Another thought in my head regards Municipals. Seems that the Obama administration would bail out any large district should the need arise. If we take away default risk, then muni's are still looking very attractive, even at these somewhat higher prices.

Combine that thought with the view that inflation will not recur until unemployment and other industrial capacities are closer to full utilization.

I guess the above are emerging as the consensus thoughts, which could result in further rises in municipal bonds.

My primitive thoughts for the day.......
