"They're hoping to recapture what happened when Israel went into Lebanon on the ground." I have few doubts you are correct. However, the Israelis must have studied what went wrong in that operation. Certainly they have some plans. The problem is they won't be fighting the same kind of war on the ground in Gaza as it was in Lebanon. Gaza is all about urban warfare. I suspect they will have some difficulty.
