Mr. Rangel is not forbidden from raising money for non-profit organizations including schools. AIG was amongst over 100 companies that Mr. Rangel approached. The $10MM figure was not unreasonable for a company of that size. That tax bill benefited many companies, not just AIG. I don't think Mr. Rangel had the donation in mind when he considered supporting the bill. But, conspiracy hate buffs like flopper like to paint ugly pictures. Besides, I always thought you RWE's LOVED tax cuts. Flopper the hypocrite goes flippy.
